This State Lottery achieved a 29% boost in both Brand Consideration and Purchase Intent by strategically utilizing Vengo's screens in convenience stores and grocery stores, at the point of sale.

Challenge

Traditional billboards excel at driving broad awareness, but shoppers’ awareness wanes by the time they get to the point of purchase. This State Lottery was looking to fill that gap and drive impulse buys in-store. They required a high-impact in-store presence to own the final shopper touchpoint and then to validate the results with measurable lift.

The State Lottery activated Vengo's statewide network of screens in official lottery retailers to drive immediate action at the point of sale. Over the course of a 12-week campaign, high-impact creative delivered over 25 million impressions across high-traffic retail environments, including major grocery and convenience store chains like 7-Eleven. These strategic placements ensured the brand reached shoppers precisely when and where they consider and buy lottery tickets. To accurately measure impact, a Brand Lift study was conducted in collaboration with Perion and Happydemics. The study isolated exposed Ad Recallers and benchmarked them against a non-exposed Control Group to quantify real shifts in consumer behavior.
